Whether you are taking an art studio for the first time, or moving from another space, where to go is a big decision with a number of important factors to consider. The right space can lead to exponential development of your practice. You need to ensure that it is in a suitable price range and location and provide all of the facilities that you consider necessary for you to maintain your practice.
The studios are the creative home of a diverse range of artists, designers and creative business. This variety creates a rich web of knowledge, skills and interests. Studio holders regularly engage with others in the community to learn about their art form, collaborate or simply get a redirect. This is one of the most important aspects of studio life and as a result diversity of disciplines will always be embraced at Make Space.
Open Studios
We hold an annual Open Studios event to enable artists to show their work and raise their profiles to peers, public and friends. See our Open Studios section for the date of our next event and put it in your diary.
Make Space Social
We host regular monthly social lunches and after work drinks. This is a great way for the artists to get to know their neighbours and also a great way to discuss ideas as a creative community.
Make Space Online
The Make Space website, Facebook and Twitter gives further opportunity for our artists to show their work, add links to their own websites and promote any up and coming shows.
See our Artists page to see who we currently have at Make Space and also our News & Events page for what our artist residents have coming up and where.
